Nice to meet you

Hi there!

I'm a marketer by profession, with a passion for deserts, the underwater world and photography. This site is a combination of all of those, and is an opportunity for me to share my travels and images with you.

I live a short distance from Monterey Bay, which has some of the best cold-water diving on the planet. I began diving over 50 years ago in Southern Califronia, and after a 40-year hiatus, dove back in after the height of the pandemic. I try to get to the Channel Islands and at least one International destination each year.

On the drier side of life, I've made over 50 trips to Death Valley and serve on the board of directors for the Death Valley Natural History Association. I've also made several trips to Arizona and Utah, along with Yellowstone and Yosemite.

On the photographic front, I shoot with a Sony A7R3, and put it in an Isotta underwater housing.
